I am currently an undergrad student (projected graduation Fall 2024) at the University of South Alabama, with a major in Biology and a minor in Marine Science. I am active in two research labs, the FUNGii lab under Dr. Jeremiah Henning, and Dr. Tuan Tran’s Plant-Microbe Interactions lab. I am also involved with the Alabama Water Watch program, heading up the students working under Drs. Molly Miller and Amy Sprinkle on South’s current three sampling sites in the three-mile-creek watershed in Mobile, Alabama.
I am also heavily involved with two student led clubs, the Marine Science Student Association, which does volunteer and career building work, and the Biology Student Association, where I am a member of Sustainability Council which runs a community garden on campus. I also volunteer with several local environmental groups as time permits, including the Mobile Baykeepers, who do water sampling in Mobile county, and the Alabama and Mississippi Audubon Societies, mostly doing coastal bird stewardship.
